lazy sunday

I spent the morning catching up on season 2 of Gossip Girls, and the afternoon walking around my neighborhood in Brooklyn. I took a few pictures of my neighborhood. This neighborhood is a bit strange; it's pretty clear the dividing lines between the rich and the poor. On the wealthier side there are huge beautiful homes and limos all along the bay. The poor side has small groceries, delis, and restaurants, all in Russian. So enjoy a little piece of my home for the time being. :)

Tomorrow I have two interviews in the city, and afterwards I'll be visiting some apartments. I'll have some more exciting pictures later!

getting adjusted

I just landed in NYC two days ago. I'll be honest, I haven't had the time to be very fashionable. I've been looking for a job and an apartment. The place I'm staying at is great, except I have no internet. So I've been spending my days at Starbucks, applying for positions, and looking for a place to stay. With some luck, I hope next week this time I can say I've found both.

For now, you'll have to be content with some pictures I took a few days ago. I was inspired by menswear, as well as being bored with my own wardrobe :).  Please excuse the ugly backdrop! Hopefully I can dedicate some more time to looks and fashion in a few days :)

What I was wearing:
Victoria's Secret Jeans
My Boyfriend's Shirt
Fossil Belt
Steve Madden Shoes
My Boyfriend's Watch
Jadore ring from Forever 21

The Big Apple Tomorrow!!

Tomorrow's the big day! I'm moving to NYC. I'm excited and nervous, but anxious to get there and begin things. I'll try to keep you posted as best I can, however, I lost the cord to my camera! I cannot find it anywhere, and I'm unsure how I will be able to upload any quality photo's without it!

I had wanted to post some pictures from last night. Tim Gunn, from Project Runway, was in town for a book signing. His book is called Life's Little Lessons for Making it Work. I didn't get in line early enough to talk with him, and I didn't get very close either. But I did take pictures of my cute outfit, Tim from far away, and the book with Tim's signature.

I'll do my best to fill you in on what's going on in New York, My iphone camera with have to work for the next couple of days until I can replace the cord.

A few days left of summer!

I decided to post a few pictures that remind me of summer. I got the blue floral shirt from a boutique in Chicago called AKIRA. I wore this shirt all summer long! The cut-off jeans are a staple pair of shorts that go with everything, and the moccasin boots and dreamcatcher earrings make my look casual and fun. I'm enjoying the last few days of warm weather before it gets cold!!

What I wore:

Levi's cutoff denim shorts
My Grandma's vintage earrings
